Instead of absinthe, the could call it wormwood elixer (I think absinthe is made from somthing called wormwood). I don't see what absinthe has to do with halloween. Though I admit, it is cool.

Yeah, I don't see why 'modesty' is necessary when they could easily redo LA like last year using all the same code.. That's the least they could do, and it makes old GW: Prophecies players happy

I couldn't make it to the Christmas/Wintersday's events because I was out of the country, but do you see me beotching/bellyaching about me not getting antlers/ a santa hat?? NO!! Suck it up, you didn't get a pumpkin crown, nor do you deserve one... Time for something new and unique for a new event.

I might make a few enemies by saying it straight up but guess what... Don't care!! Suck it up people. No crowns for you.

I've got Pumpkin helms on 2 of my characters, and I'd be fine with them giving them out again. Gives me a chance to get them for characters I hadn't created yet back then.

I'd also be fine with them giving out something else, since some people seem to be so up in arms about it. I don't see the big deal, really - it's a game, it's not like the helms are a real trophy you earned for something. *shrug*

Basically, I'll just be happy that we have a Hallowe'en event at all.

Here here to that, I guess I got a little carried away, but I'm just plain happy to be having a festive holiday event too.... Although I do think the special helms are somewhat earned... They require dedication to being on at a certain time, and usually require a task or two ! :P

To People griping about the bonus weekends though, geeze, I consider them well, a great bonus considering ArenaNet didn't have to have em (and didn't have them with the prophecies campaign release).... These kinds of major celebrations are for major events... like game launches and major holidays...
Although I too would appreciate more of these special holiday events (An Easter event would be great, as would a valentines day, etc...), I know there a heck of a lot of work for the folks at ArenaNet to put together so we can't expect a tonne. Nothing wrong with recycling an event though from a year previous.. I just appreciate the gesture of different items to be earned.

i have the pumpkin helm for all bar one of my characters but i'd like to see them available in some way so those who missed ouy can join the fun.

i dont care about being 'exclusive' and feeling superior and would prefer more people to be able to have a good time and get access to these cool helms

I would LOVE it if they did it again, as I could get one for my Warrior, Monk, Assassin and Elementalist. I only had a Ranger when the Halloween event rolled around.

What if Arenanet was to suddently say "Hey, lets give away miniature Kuunvang's to everyone this halloween as well", or "Hey, lets give out Divine aura, and exclusive CE dances out to everyone who wants to pay for em,"... Or heck, forget paying, lets just give 'em out for free!

Would everyone here be keen on that? The majority probably would be because they likely wouldn't have those items/emotes... But the ones with 'em wouldn't be too happy now, would they??

How about those rare Zodiac items you really liked... What if they just started giving out max stat orange ones to everyone, or heck, Icy Dragon Swords... Would that bug ya at all??

Why are you comparing Event items, that are ONLY for sentimetal value and for fun with Rare weapons and CE items anyway!? I really can't see any recemblance in it.

And yes i play on the events just for the fun and NOT the Items, they are just a bonus.
Like i said, no real use for them anyway in GW.

Event items has no real function after the event is over, except from looking cool and get you drunk ect, but nothing that helps you in the game.

Rare items and CE items does on the other hand have a function (dispite from the dance emotes) but some people want this stuff.

What is your point? You don't want them to use the Pumpkin Crowns this year to since some allready has it or what? Sorry just don't get it, plz explain.

Big difference. Noone paid real-world cash specifically to get Pumpkin Helms, but they did pay real-world cash specifically for CE perks. I don't see why pumpkin helms couldn't be made available again. If someone new to the game gets a pumpkin helm, I'm not going to get my panties in a bunch just because I got a few of them last year. I repudiate your claim of BS.

Indeed it is a big difference!

They are free items so why not get them while you can? I sure would if i like them. Dispite that they have no real use after the event. It was just great fun running arround in it among other fellow Pumpkin heads in the Halloween towns!

Well they could set it up like they did for the Wintersday event, odd number districts received one helm while the even number districts received a different one. Odd number districts could receive the pumpkin helm and even number districts could receive the new helms.
